COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Troop 212 prides themselves on being active community members. Our troop participates regularly in community service projects. Doing service projects together is one way that Scouts keep their promise “to help other people.” While a Scout should do his best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people. While scouts participate in community service, they are learning to work together with others to do something that’s good for your community.

Past community projects include:

  • Clean up trash along community roads
  • Participate in VFW flag retirement ceremonies
  • Collect food for Brandon food bank
  • Shovel snow or rake leaves for seniors
  • Clean up trash and debris from campsites and trails
  • Help out with Cub Scouts Winter Olympics
  • Volunteer work for local Brandon & Valley Spring community activities
  • Host a community youth bike ride
  • Host a community youth egg drop contest

If you have an event that you think might be a good community project for Troop 212 of Brandon, please reach out to us at our email troop212brandon@gmail.com.
